The Race Against Time: Schultes's Urgency and Hari's Crisis

Schultes's urgency was ecological: the plants and the knowledge about them are disappearing. Hari's urgency was human: the people most harmed by drug prohibition are dying. Neither book acknowledges the other's crisis. But they are the same crisis at different scales.
