December 21, 2012 would be a singularity of maximum novelty, the Timewave Zero endpoint
Refuted recorded as “Falsified” True Hallucinations
The date passed without the predicted singularity or transformational event. McKenna had acknowledged the theory was falsifiable. The Timewave mathematics have been criticized by professional mathematicians. The underlying philosophical claim, that time has qualitative structure, is separable from the 2012 prediction and remains interesting; the specific prediction is falsified.
