Partially Confirmed recorded as “Supported, With a Smaller Effect Than First Reported” Moksha: Letters of Huxley & Osmond

Krebs & Johansen meta-analysis (Journal of Psychopharmacology, 2012): six randomized trials run at several centers between 1966 and 1970 (not the original Saskatchewan program), showing a statistically significant effect on alcohol misuse. Bogenschutz et al. (JAMA Psychiatry, 2022): psilocybin for alcohol use disorder, 83% reduction in heavy drinking days. Osmond's Saskatchewan reports were uncontrolled; later randomized trials with LSD and psilocybin support a real but smaller effect.
